a question about Pâté?
i’ve heard that Pâté is a spreadable meat paste (mostly associated with duck liver), i’ve also been told that there are vegetable variants.
now since the only real criteria for Pâté seems to be that is is a spreadable paste, does that mean that peanut butter is a peanut Pâté?
remember there are VEGETARIAN Pâté’s which is why i ask.

I am using an American keyboard here so bear with me since I cannot put in the accents. In France we have pate and rillettes, both of which are spreadable. I don’t know of any vegetable pate, I’ve lived here for 23 years, but why not? As far as your question about peanut butter… what the heck. Food should be fun and if you want that pate with jelly… go for it.
